Live Webcast Planned for General Conference

If you are not able to attend the upcoming 26th General Conference in Greensboro, NC you can still join in the excitement and celebration from the comfort of your own home. The live webcast, which will allow you to watch the proceedings live as they are happening, will be made available through the General Conference website. Gregory Kuhn, our MultiMedia Director, is working with the conference center management and an online streaming service to make it happen.
Sponsored by the Communications and Network Services, the webcast will begin coverage with the opening gavel each morning and end with the closing prayer at the evening service. A complete daily schedule of broadcasts will be posted on the GenCon website Updates Page.
Right now, we are planning to have 2,000 concurrent connections, which is twice the number we had at the last conference four years ago. At that conference in 2005, many visitors were unable to login since all of the connections were in use. Make sure you get connected by joining each event early. Remember: first come, first served.
It is our pleasure to provide this service to our members across the nation and around the world. It is my hope that you will take advantage of it and join us online in July. See you, then!
